# Connect email

> Connect Gmail or Outlook so Guhan can send email as you and bring replies back to your Inbox.

**Connect Gmail or Outlook once. Guhan sends from your address and picks up replies in the Inbox.**

Connecting Gmail or Outlook also lets you connect the matching calendar without a second sign-in. See [Calendar integrations](https://docs.outzen.ai/meetings/calendar-integrations.md).

## Supported accounts

* Gmail and Google Workspace
* Outlook and Microsoft 365

## Steps

**1. Open Sender accounts**

Settings, Sender accounts, then **Add sender**. You can also connect from your profile under Sender accounts.

**2. Pick Email (Gmail) or Email (Outlook)**

The dialog shows how many senders you have used out of your limit.

**3. Sign in with the provider**

Click **Continue authentication**. Google's or Microsoft's own sign-in opens in a new tab. For Gmail, choose the account you want to connect, or **Use another account**.

**4. Approve the permissions**

Approve everything requested, including calendar access if you want to use this account as your calendar too.

**5. Confirm it is active**

Back in Guhan, the sender appears in the list. A healthy sender shows no warning badge.

## How messages go out

Every email is sent from your own address as a one-to-one message. Replies arrive in your normal mailbox and in the Guhan Inbox.

Emails that bounce are recorded against the original message and the sequence for that prospect stops. A bounce does not appear as a reply.

## Limits

Email has its own daily limit and sending window. They are covered in [Sending safety](https://docs.outzen.ai/campaigns/sending-safety.md). Adjust them per account in the account's settings.

## If something's off

> [accordion] Access denied from Google
>
> Some Google Workspace admins restrict third-party sign-in. Ask your admin to allow Guhan, then try again.

> [accordion] Calendar access was not granted
>
> You can still send email, but the matching calendar will not work until you reconnect and approve every permission.

> [accordion] Re-authorize appears after a password change
>
> Changing your password signs Guhan out. Open the account's menu in Settings, Sender accounts, and choose **Re-authorize**. Email steps wait until you do.
